Golf and Lakes in Winter

For now, the fairways are still at rest, and the lakes lie clear and tranquil within the winter landscape of the Salzkammergut. Due to weather conditions, the golf courses in SalzburgerLand are currently not yet playable – but the anticipation for the upcoming season is already in the air.

With the first warm days of spring, the region’s golf courses will gradually reopen, once again inviting players to enjoy the game in a truly unique setting: lush fairways, sparkling lakes and the panoramic backdrop of the Alpine foothills. The wait is worthwhile even away from the greens, as many clubs are using the winter months for further development and investment.

At Golfclub am Mondsee and Golfclub Drachenwand, for example, the clubhouses are currently being modernised and enhanced to offer guests and members even greater comfort and an improved overall experience in the future.

When the first tee shots of spring become possible, the Salzkammergut–SalzburgerLand region once again combines sporting pleasure with a deep connection to nature – golfing between lake and mountain, relaxed, high-quality and full of promise for an exciting season ahead.
