Fuschlsee

In the midst of this beautiful scenery, endless hiking and cycling trails, paradisiacal golf courses and fascinating cultural highlights await you.

The Fuschlsee region: hiking and cycling, swimming and relaxing, discovering and experiencing. A landscape that tempts you to dream and pause for a moment, to savour and marvel. Here, around the blue Fuschlsee, the world is still in order. Fish frolic happily in the crystal-clear water, butterflies dance in the flowering meadows, while the sun bathes the surrounding mountains in a magical light. Visit the idyllic Holleralmen with their namesake elderberry bushes, take a dip in the cool water or explore communities such as Ebenau, Faistenau and Hintersee in comfort by bike.

Families with children can conquer the forest climbing trail in Faistenau, race down into the valley on the summer toboggan run in Fuschl am See or stroll along the enchanting mill and fairytale trail in Ebenau.

The Fuschlsee region also offers a wide range of sporting activities: canyoning and archery, fishing and swimming, horse riding and mini golf.

Those who prefer the ‘big’ version of golf can also look forward to it, as golf is very popular around Fuschl am See!

The Waldhof Golf Club awaits you for a relaxing round of golf in Fuschl. Here, every tee shot is a marvellous experience, as you can enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Fuschl from the course. The 9-hole golf course (PAR 62) with driving range, chipping and putting green as well as its own golf school offers beginners and professionals the perfect ambience. Those who would like to familiarise themselves with the sport of golf can take part in a taster course. You will be spoilt with first-class culinary delights in the Waldhof-Alm, which is surrounded by lush meadows overlooking the shimmering Lake Fuschl.

Also very popular with holiday guests is the Salzburg Eugendorf Golf Club with 18 fantastic fairways, a 3-hole training course and practice facilities (driving range, practice bunker, putting green).

Cultural highlights in the Fuschlsee region

Those who not only come to Fuschl for golf, but also want to enjoy unique cultural experiences in between, can look forward to numerous interesting highlights. From the folk music festival ‘Aussigråsn - a volksmusikalischer Saitensprung’ in Faistenau to the traditional Leonhardi ride organised by the horse breeding association with magnificent horses and musical entertainment to the atmospheric Advent market at the Brunnengarten in Ebenau: there is always something going on around Lake Fuschl.

In summer, the ‘Electric Love Festival’ not only captivates young people, while the hiking festival in the Fuschlsee region is certainly a little quieter, but no less cosy.

The region is also very culturally diverse outside of the events calendar. There is the museum in the Fürstenstöckl in Ebenau, which is dedicated to historical iron, copper and brass processing and displays firearms made in Ebenau from the 17th century. Fascinating for young and old alike is Oberhinteregger's adventure farm in Faistenau with its own smokehouse, cheese production and many other exciting highlights. Excursions to the old Hundsmarktmühle mill in Thalgau, the Hintersee doll's house museum and the Wartenfels ruins are also worthwhile.
