Wolfgangsee region

The Wolfgangsee, with its surrounding mountains and pastures, is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Austria.
Unpack your golf clubs and let your gaze wander – it feels like you are in paradise.

Schafberg and Zwölferhorn tower majestically above the sparkling blue Wolfgangsee, contrasted with the lush green of the Postalm.

It is heavenly here, wonderfully cosy and also a little nostalgic because it still has the relaxed and lovably-chic atmosphere of bygone times. The crystal clear Wolfgangsee invites you to swim, take boat trips and enjoy water sports; there is also an extensive network of hiking and biking trails and alluring culinary delights.

Anyone who loves golf will also instantly fall in love with the region around the Wolfgangsee. It isn't possible to find a more idyllic, picturesque and grandiose golf course. Three courses deserve special mention: the Golf Club Salzkammergut, the Golf and Country Club Schloss Fuschl as well as the Golf Club Waldhof. Which is your favourite?

Golf Club Bad Ischl awaits you in Salzkammergut. It is a well-maintained 18-hole course embedded in a beautiful natural landscape. Severiano Ballesteros once demonstrated his skills here. The facility has a generous driving range, covered tees and new golf carts. The club restaurant offers first-class cuisine. The view of the surrounding landscape is simply fantastic and invites you to pause and enjoy the scenery between the tees.

No less impressive is the Golf and Country Club Schloss Fuschl, one of the oldest and most traditional places in the country. It blends harmoniously into the fantastic picturesque scenery and inspires not only with its unique view, but also with its wonderfully soothing silence. If you would like to improve your technique, the expert golf teacher Franco Torrano can help. The golf and country club is not only a sporting treat; it is also a cultural experience because this wonderful historical place tells the story of a long eventful past.

And then there is the Golf Club Waldhof: a 9-hole golf course with driving range and chipping and putting green. The new and modern facility with breathtaking views also includes a golf school, where beginners and professionals alike are welcome. A special kind of clubhouse, the quaint Waldhof Alm, stands amidst green meadows and high mountains, inviting you to enjoy delicious specialities.

Golf at the Wolfgangsee? Yes, definitely!
