Traunsee region

The Traunsee region is a holiday paradise for active holiday-makers and nature lovers,
for connoisseurs and fans of culture.
The region offers 1001 recreational opportunities ... and especially fantastic views for golfers!

The landscape around the deepest lake in Austria (at 191 metres) could not be more fascinating. The steep eastern shore is dominated by the mighty Traunstein massif, which is as impressive as it is imposing. The western shore is very different with gentle meadows that offer a lovely contrast to the striking rocks. These contrasts guarantee limitless possibilities on your holiday.

Some highlights include the new treetop path with its nearly 40-metre-high viewing platform, the Traunsee water sports arena with offerings for stand-up paddling, wakeboarding, diving, sailing and surfing as well as the Nature Park Attersee Traunsee with its great hiking trails. But golf is also extremely important at Traunsee!

Are you looking for a golf club nearby? The traditional Golf Club Salzkammergut, for example, is located not far from the lake. It is a magnificent 18-hole course known for its major international events. The club was founded in 1933 and has shaped the development of golf in Austria.

Thanks to its sustainable interaction with the environment and nature, the entire course is completely integrated in a natural way in the mountain landscape. The club is founded on fair play and tolerance together with mutual respect and a sense of community.

Another very nice and facility nearby is Golf Regau. The course is located between Attersee and Traunsee and has a fantastic terrace with a direct view of the fairways. The 18-hole championship course (6,392 metres) is conveniently located only three kilometres from the A1 Regau exit but is still set in a wonderfully picturesque and quiet landscape. The more than 80-hectare area includes an extensive short-game range, a driving range (300 metres) as well as modern golf carts. The adjacent Restaurant Albatros offers excellent regional cuisine. And you can participate in trial courses and proficiency courses. The unique nature between Attersee and Traunsee will enchant you as you enjoy a round of golf!

Would you like to enjoy a round of golf at Traunsee? The regional clubs would love to have you!
