Four picturesque lakes characterise the Salzburger Seenland: the Mattsee, the Wallersee, the Obertrumer See and the Grabensee.

They are embedded in a lovely landscape with rolling hills, vast forests and green meadows. The water quality of the lakes is excellent, and the well-kept beach resorts invite you to relax in and by the water. If you like, you can rent a boat, visit a sailing school or take a trip with the Seenland boat.

Golf is very important in the region: Three top golf courses invite you to a relaxed or even fast-paced round of golf.

One of them is the Golf Club Gut Altentann. Jack Nicklaus himself designed the 18-hole course: You can expect perfect golf architecture here! The facility offers a top international standard and golf at its best. Countless bunkers and water hazards also ensure variety. The stylish clubhouse with its well-equipped pro shop and the cosy restaurant with sunny terrace radiate a very hospitable atmosphere.

For refreshing, easy golf visit the Golfclub Römergolf. Everyone is welcome here, from beginners to experienced professionals. There are two courses to choose from: an excellent 18-hole panorama course for a concentrated game, and the lovingly designed 9-hole Kornbichl course for a quick round or just to try out the sport. You can look forward to a lunch service that changes daily and an extensive menu with light fare, regional delicacies and hearty grilled meats at the Restaurant La Corona.

The 18-hole Champion Course, the newest addition to the Golf Course Eugendorf, is a real challenge for demanding golfers. It was the venue for the PGA of Austria Championship 2012. There are 60 teeing grounds and chipping and putting greens available on the very modern driving range. A novel “golf & cart system” provides a service that is otherwise only offered at top American courses.
