The Golfclub Salzkammergut, founded in 1933, is located between Bad Ischl and St. Wolfgang. It is picturesque, in the middle of intact nature, and, in addition to a wonderful view of the area, also offers the guest a technically demanding and various game.
Not fashionable and not snobby — but definitely endearing. Even strokes that are not as good are mostly forgiven and there are seldom lost balls.
The “Ischler greens” have the best reputation, even outside of the region.
There are modern golf carts and, of course, Hannes Hettegger’s famous pro shop, with its first-class selection and the ability to test products.
The generous driving range with bunker and chipping green invites you to practice. During lessons, the club’s pros take the pupil’s individual needs into account.
Tournaments with world-class players like Severiano Ballesteros, Mark McNulty and Gordon Brand have contributed to the popularity of the club and the sport of golf in the region.
In May of 2002, two-time Masters winner Jose Maria Olazabal offered two days of golf at the highest level on this course. In addition to the Hettegger golf days, the Kaiser golf tournament is one of the highlights on the tournament calendar.

It is not for nothing that famous people like the royal family, Anton Bruckner, Johann Strauss, Franz Lehar, Johannes Brahms, Rudolf von Alt, Alexander Giradi, Emmerich Kalmann, Johann Nestroy, Adalbert Stifter and Robert Stolz selected this area as their main place of residence or for their holiday home.
If you would also like to follow the footsteps of great artists and experience sport around Bad Ischl and Wolfgangsee Lake, book a room in one of the numerous partner hotels and enjoy the wonderful connection between golf, art, culture and cuisine!
We are looking forward to your visit!
